#FreeKindle of CHAKRA SECRETS – Learn #SelfLove and More

Chakra Secrets coverHappy Valentine’s Day! There’s no better way to share the spirit of LOVE than to share a tale encompassing all my actions and emotions in the relationships arena – good and bad  – with a happy ending and an instant healing technique everyone can use.

So, I invite you to download a copy of CHAKRA SECRETS, which is FREE on Amazon Kindle through Thursday, February 15.

Here’s a review of the book by a reader on Amazon:

Chakra Balancing, Past Lives, Yoga and More!

“Began this book at Midnight, read straight through until 4 a.m. and waited until the light of day to review.

All of the cliches fit: cliff hanger, couldn’t put it down, fast-paced, brilliant writing…yes, all that with an important message: life is the same for everyone, we hurt, we grieve, we suffer, we have moments of joy and passion, and we are all subject to the same feelings.

We are born and re-born both physically, as in reincarnation, and spiritually, as in evolution of the soul…and there are very real modalities that we can employ to overcome our private agonies and move along our spiritual path to fuse with the light. That’s the simplistic version.

Author Becca Chopra put herself out on a limb with this autobiographical novel in which she introduces powerful, spiritual healing modalities in a very earthy way. She covers yogis gone wild, drugs, passion, longing, as she takes you on a breathless journey from actress to respected yoga teacher, an amazing roller coaster ride that introduces yoga, rainbow tantra, tantric gurus, macrobiotic diet, past life regression, acro-yoga, Ho’opono’pono and a very effective Huna Dynamind technique which can be practiced at home.

The storyline is complex yet unfolds simply and easily, propelling the reader right to the happy ending. And after all the twists and turns, one is certainly ready for that relaxing out breath and release.”

I look forward to sharing my story with YOU also – I invite you to download CHAKRA SECRETS.

Tap Your Way Into Perfect Chakra Balance

Balance_Your_Chakras_ebook_cover4Balance Your Chakras, Balance Your Life, an Amazon Kindle Book, offers an extraordinary healing technique I learned from Serge Kahili King, PhD, a Hawaiian shaman. He helped me apply his Dynamind technique to chakra healing – which leads to healing of both physical and emotional pain and the root cause for it.

In this short book, I show you how you can balance your 7 chakras, starting with balancing the Root Chakra up to the Crown Chakra, to heal every aspect of your life, from your financial security, sex life and self-esteem, to your relationships, communication and intuition. If you want a quick and easy explanation of the chakra system and how it affects your mind, body and emotions, you’ll find that here.

Whether you experience pain, illness or stress, or just want to enhance your energy, Dynamind is an “instant” healing technique that can deliver relief in just a few minutes. Yesterday, I worked with a friend who had sciatic pain and after three rounds of Dynamind to ground his root chakra, releasing the fear and frustration that had been causing tension in his muscles, he was able to easily get up from his yoga mat and ride his bike home.

Reader reviews say:

“I read this book and another of Becca’s, checked out her website, and viewed her video that follows this book. For the first time in 2 years, I am pain free. I am more at peace. THANKS!”

“I am already familiar with EFT, so this new technique that Becca Chopra presents in this book really intrigued me. I am still in the process of reading the book and trying out the Dynamind technique, and am feeling the benefits already.”

Balance Your Chakras, Balance Your Life contains:
* Step-by-step instructions in using Dynamind for chakra cleansing and balancing, and eliminating physical or emotional pain. Dynamind has often been termed “Fast EFT,” because it is also a tapping technique but only has 4 tapping spots instead of 24 or more. It also includes statements, visualization and deep breathing…. which is why it’s so quick at releasing tension.
* Dynamind Toners for each of the 7 chakras that you can do in minutes per day to strengthen your energy and maintain chakra balance.
* Color photos of chakra crystals and chakra mantras, for use in chakra healing visualizations, chakra meditations and chakra sound healing.

DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE VIDEO
This Dynamind process is simple yet profound – try it today to balance your chakras and balance your life. This week, I am offering the companion DVD, Balance & Tone Your Chakras, for free on video streaming, so you can follow along with me as I use Dynamind to balance and tone my chakras. CHAKRA HEALING SECRETS – Free Today on Kindle

Chakra Secrets Twitter coverMy life story, interwoven with the healing and balancing techniques that have kept me uplifted – emotionally, physically and spiritually, Chakra Secrets, is FREE today and tomorrow, Oct 9-10, on Amazon Kindle. I invite you to download it, give it a read, and please take a moment to say what you found interesting or helpful on Amazon reviews. Here’s what a few other readers/writers have said about it.

An Inspirational Memoir ~ R. R. Harris, editor and author of Double Take

Chakra Secrets by Becca Chopra is part memoir, part fun, part romance, part drama and pure inspiration. It’s timeless, offering a look at one woman’s path through tragedy, guilt, unhappiness and chakra imbalance, into a state of grace – happy, healthy and loved. And even better, it’s free today, October 9th through October 10th, for Kindle download to any reading device. Just go to http://amzn.to/15S76wr.

Love, sex and chakras. A great read! ~ Tom Rapsas, author of Life Tweets: Inspirational & Spiritual Insights That Can Change Your Life:

“I thought Chakra Secrets was a blast, an easy read that’s both educational and entertaining. For starters, it appears to be loosely based on the author’s (adult) life story as she moves from one relationship to another while developing an interest and prowess in the chakras. There’s love, sex, loss (the death of her wandering husband), and a foray into reincarnation–even a side story on a notorious Hollywood star and couple that are part of her life (thinly veiled, see if you can figure out who they are). While she touches on the chakras throughout, there’s also a very helpful “Part 2″ at the end of the book. It details the 7 chakras and how to tap into them, including instructions on how to cure what ails you. Highly recommended!”

Reads like a novel with a BONUS! ~ Harriette Knight, author of CHAKRA POWER! How to Fire Up Your Energy Centers to Live a Fuller Life

“Becca Chopra’s CHAKRA SECRETS is both a prequel and sequel to her wonderful CHAKRA DIARIES. What I love most about these books is that they read like a novel, and that the stories overlap. They are totally engaging and engrossing and difficult to put down. Becca’s honesty is searing. She bares her soul for all of us to see, and relate to. There is a human-ness that is shared that goes beyond author and reader. The exercises in the back of the book are a BONUS and one I have referred to over and over. I love how Becca intertwines her own journey with the teachings of yoga and the chakras. She is a gift to all of us and a voice that needs to be heard.”

I Loved This Book! ~ Marla Martenson, author of Amateur Night

“What a great read. I am a fan of memoir and I just love a true story. Becca is brutally honest in this tale of finding herself. I am also an author of memoirs and her story reminded me of myself. She went through heartbreak, confusion, adventures, and learned valuable lessons. I love her writing style, and found the book hard to put down. Becca also teaches us about chakras in the book and gives a great exercise to open them up. I am eager to try it. I have also ordered her other books. She has a new fan!”

A Mainstream Fan ~ Wendy Naarup, author of Piece by Piece

“This honest, candid story about the author’s journey to happiness introduced me to the world of yoga and chakras. I didn’t need a drop of holistic background to fall in love with the characters and empathize with their struggles, the struggles so many of us have trying to find authenticity and balance a midst the confusion and unfairness of life. The author doesn’t just share her life, she offers a path. I’m intrigued. I never thought I’d say this, but I feel like taking yoga.”

Happy reading!

What We Do to the Earth, We Do to Ourselves

EveWe are all one – what one person does affects others and the Earth we live on. Eve Ensler brings home this message in her memoir, In The Body of the World, an eloquent, poetic, heartbreaking story of how she suffers through ovarian cancer and the chemical assault of chemotherapy, quite like the tortured, violated women she had so tried to help her work in war-torn areas like the Congo.

Ensler has fought violence against women throughout most of her adult life, connecting her activism to her own abuse as a child. Here, she brings us into her own personal agony as she fights to survive cancer, connecting her own illness to the abuse of Mother Earth.

Her story touched me very deeply, perhaps because my own best friend Julie died of cancer, certainly due to chemical exposures while in the military. I dedicated my two novels to Julie, because as Ensler related, cancer can lead to a transformation that deepens your soul and opens your heart, as it did for both Eve and Julie and I’m sure many others… no matter the physical outcome.

While Ensler’s story brought tears to my eyes, and I may never be able to forget the atrocities she described in the Congo, I closed the book feeling more hope than when I opened it. Ensler completes her goal to open the City of Joy for the women of the Congo although more funding will be needed. She says that if she doesn’t close off her heart, that love will cut a path, a plan will be revealed, and she will find the money and everything that is necessary. Her activism continues, and her shout can be joined by all our shouts until they are a roar – to stop violence and genocide. Perhaps we are all part of the plan; we are all on the same path.

We Are All Our Own Best Gurus

Screen shot 2013-05-07 at 7.30.58 AMLast night I watched the documentary, Kumare, on Netflix downstreaming. Vikram Gandhi, a 2nd-generation Indian man living in New Jersey wondered about religion, gurus and their authenticity. He searched America and then traveled to his ancestral homeland of India only to find what he felt were “false prophets,” espousing what he already knew. So, he decided to pose as a guru himself, learn yoga, meditation, and see if he could find a following in Arizona. Well, he did.

What he espoused was that he, Kumare, was an illusion, and that the guru was within each one of his disciples. While it almost made a joke of all things new age and spiritual, such as the psychic who saw him as a guru in many past lives, Kumare made a positive impact on everyone he met. He used age-old methods that all Indian gurus have used – yoga, meditation, visualization. And a powerful practice was having his disciples tell him what 5 things he needed to do (as if talking to themselves). Well, they all took their own advice and did what they told him to do.

When he did his unveiling 40 days after leaving the group, a few were shocked and upset, while the rest embraced him as just another fellow traveler sharing his wisdom and knowledge.

The message: We all have the power within us. We are all our best gurus.

But, watching the documentary, it also became clear that we as humans benefit from helping each other, energize each other when doing group practices, and feel happiest when in community. Vikram said he was his best self as Kumare. I think we are all our best selves when helping each other, sharing our inspiration, our knowledge, our wisdom. Because we are all on a search for meaning, for happiness and love.

FREE TODAY: My memoir of finding my own power, Chakra Secrets, is free for Kindle download today or tomorrow, May 7-8, at http://amzn.to/129rO5I

“Their Inspiration for Writing” from Five Top Authors

Chakra Secrets and the companion DVD are part of my HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY!

I am happy to take part in Authors Tagging Authors! to explain their process of becoming an author and how they were inspired to share their writing.

I was tagged by the visionary author, Gary Markwick, and I am thrilled to keep this going. As part of this blog hop, I am going to answer the questions below, tag a new set of 5 Authors, which then they answer, tag 5 more authors, etc.

1. What is the title of your book?

Chakra Secrets. It’s available on Amazon.com and also as part of my Holiday Giveaway.

2. Where did the idea come from for the book?

As the author of The Chakra Diaries, released in 2010, I offered the stories of nine participants in a chakra workshop as they transformed their lives through energy healing, really, the healing power of love. My readers wanted to know more of my personal story, as my life became entwined in both good and bad ways with theirs… while aspiring to help my best friend overcome Stage 4 melanoma, I succumbed to a love affair with her partner. Saintly counselor or tantric temptress? My readers wanted to know more about me… and I wanted to share my secrets about my own tumultuous life, yoga journey, and exploration of every New Age modality, including past life regression, to remove the guilt that had been my constant companion throughout my life (even when unexplainable).

I love to teach about balancing the chakras, and I wrote Chakra Secrets to show how I used chakra healing in my own life. At the same time, I bared my soul to all my shortcomings and the mistakes I had made, hopefully explaining how the “wounded healer” can help others. And to find and feel forgiveness.

Part II of the “sizzling” memoir (as it has been described since it covers Kundalini rising, Tantric Sex and more) is actually a sharing of a mind-body “instant healing” technique that I learned in Hawaii from Serge Kahili King, PhD.  In my mind, it should be part of everyone’s “Emergency 911 First Aid Kit.”

3. What genre does your book fall under?

New Age, Metaphysical, Memoir, Self-Help, Dramatized Life Stories

I don’t write in any one specific genre. The closest comparisons to Chakra Secrets that I’ve been thrilled to receive are Paulo Coehlo’s Aleph, and Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love.

I’d love for Angelina Jolie to play Rebecca in the movie adaptation of Chakra Secrets.

4. Which actors would you choose to play the characters in a movie rendition?

I’ve always thought being a casting director would be great fun… I often cast my characters while I’m writing, as I’d love to see all my works made into movies.

For Chakra Secrets, I’d choose Angelina Jolie to play Rebecca, as I think she’s a fabulous actress who could show me as I was accused of being – sometimes saintly, sometimes the tantric temptress. Gwyneth Paltrow would be perfect as my best friend Julie, and Bradley Cooper in the twin roles of the men in my life and past lives – Richard and Mark.

5. Here are the authors I have tagged… all in different genres, all great. Check out their blogs, and look for their posts coming to your computer screen next week!

Wake Up and Be the Best You Can Be

Author Wendy Naarup experienced a tragic assault as a teenager that turned her into a “people pleaser” and kept her from an authentic life, until she learned to embrace the whole – both good and bad – in order to be great, really great.

In her memoir, WAKE UP! TRAVELING FROM GOOD ENOUGH TO GREAT, Wendy shares how it’s the challenges in life that make it meaningful. And she offers great advice on taking care of your SELF, forgiving yourself as well as others, and following three golden rules that she learned from her parents, and uses to be the best parent she can be: 1) Treat everyone with respect, 2) Do your best, and 3) Do the right thing, just because it’s the right thing to do.

Training and succeeding in being a triathlete helped Wendy build her self-esteem and take back the driver’s seat in her life. “Life is full of joy when you’re in charge of the journey,” she writes. She began to to look at life as a gift and knew it was her responsibility to take care of that gift.

In this book, she gifts the reader with many empowering messages to help guide them in believing in themselves, surrounding themselves with the right kind of friends, and most of all, appreciating the gift of their own unique life. We are supposed to live GREAT lives, with both passion and humility, writes the author and she shows us – through her own unique journey – how to accomplish this.

Wendy Naarup is a motivational speaker, an Ironman age group champion, an author and a survivor. In addition to her memoir, WAKE UP! TRAVELING FROM GOOD ENOUGH TO GREAT, she is excited to have a YA novel that addresses teen bullying and suicide scheduled for release in December. I asked her a few questions about her memoir and writing process.
BECCA: What is the underlying message of your memoir?

The underlying message of my book is that we are not defined by the events of our lives, we are defined by how we handle those events. Life isn’t always fair but the unfairness can ultimately make us better, stronger, happier people. You are too important to pass through this life as an average version of yourself…be great.

BECCA: What inspired you to write?

My friends inspired me to write the story.  So many of them fell into the habit of “good enough.” It’s easy to stay the course, especially when what you have is better than what so many people have. We’re taught to feel grateful, to settle. Too much potential is lost when we fall into that mindset. I lived that mistake for a long time. I wanted to wake people up to the idea that their life is worth more than that.

BECCA: What do you hope readers will take away from your book?

Happiness comes from inside you, from loving the gift of your own unique life.  You will be happy when you find joy in the process of living and you find that when the way you live is authentic, when you’re centered.

BECCA: Where do you find your inspiration?

I find it in reflection, in quiet. I don’t really meditate but I spend time running and hiking in the woods. I pay attention to the trees, love the trees and I feel so much out there. I’m humbled by the enormity of life and by how little I know.  I loved your book because it piqued my interest in “energy,” something I sense but really don’t understand.

BECCA: What is the best thing anyone has said about your book?

I love this question. There are so many people living in compromised situations because of how little value they place on their worth. A woman took me to lunch after reading my book and we cried together as she shared her story of abuse. She was able to move forward after that and is doing great. I didn’t need another person to ever read the book…she made it worthwhile.

BECCA: Any advice for others who feel they have inspiration to share?

If you have a story and a little patience, I highly recommend writing. Even if you never publish, the process is healing and educational. The end-result will be your unique voice and may very well change the life of someone who needs that exact perspective. What have you got to lose?

Namaste!

Love, Matchmaking and Inspiration

Hearts On The Line is both a hysterical and inspiring memoir from a truly talented writer. Marla Martenson opens her heart to share her dreams, aspirations and affirmations about getting out of the zany world of matchmaking old rich guys with young gold diggers in Beverly Hills. While she’s driven away by a sadistic boss and crazy clients, she seems forced to stay in by hopes of making enough money to buy a house with her loving Latin stud of a husband (who pushes her to hold on to the job even while it pushes her over the edge).

She finds herself in a dilemma that’s all too familiar – how do we get to that promised land of “Do what you love and the money will follow?”

Luckily, Marla knows how to ground herself, not only with Happy Hour drinks, but with meditations from Gurudev Amrit Desai, and she shares these with her readers, along with positive thoughts and actions that balance out her frustrations. Just when she (and we, the readers) have just about lost hope, we thankfully see her reach for that golden ring that has so eluded her.

Racy and ribald, this memoir is every bit as entertaining as the best chick lit out there. But it also carries an important life message that “…dreams are for real.” Hearts On The Line is available at Amazon.com in both paperback and Kindle versions.

As a professional matchmaker working in Los Angeles since 2001, Marla Martenson has helped countless couples connect with their soul mates and go on to marriage. She is also a certified life/dating coach, author and motivational speaker. I asked her a few questions about her new memoir:

BECCA: Is there an underlying message in your book?

Yes, the underlying message of my book is that when we stay true to ourselves, and listen to our still small voice, it will lead us in the right direction in our life’s purpose.

BECCA: What would you like readers to take away from your writings?

It makes me happy when someone writes to me and tells me that they couldn’t put my book down, or that it made them laugh. I love to entertain and inspire at the same time.

BECCA: What is the best thing anyone has said about your book?

Actually Becca, your review made me smile! This line in particular, “Racy and ribald, this memoir is every bit as entertaining as the best chick lit out there. But it also carries an important life message that “…dreams are for real.” I love Chick Lit, and tried to give it the chick lit feel with a deeper message.

BECCA: Any advice for others who feel they want to write and share their own story?

It seems that almost everyone that I meet is either writing a book or wants to write one. Each of us have a story to tell and it is a wonderful feeling to actually accomplish writing a book. I say, go for it. Since the publishing industry has changed and authors can self publish so easily and share their story, there is no reason why everyone can’t go for their dream of writing and publishing a book.
